Women-Led Opportunity - For many women in coffee, the work has always been there, but the recognition has not always followed. Madre Tierra helps place women producers at the centre of the story. It gives their work more visibility and creates a platform where their leadership, knowledge, and contribution can be properly valued.
Madre Tierra Community was born from the work of 15 farms in Cesar, Colombia, brought together through a women-led association of producers. Its name carries two meanings: Madre Tierra speaks of Mother Earth, while MADRE stands for Mujeres Asociadas por el Desarrollo Rural y Emprendimiento de la Tierra, women working together for rural development and entrepreneurship rooted in the land.
Each farm has its own story, its own soil, and its own way of working. But through Madre Tierra, these women producers come together to create a coffee that carries the character of the whole community. It is not about one name or one farm. It is about many hands, many families, and one shared expression of the region.
This project gives the producers a way to support each other, strengthen their voice, and create more stability through collaboration. The result is a coffee that is sweet, easy drinking, and honest, shaped by the land and by the women who care for it.
More than a lot, Madre Tierra Community is a shared voice for 15 farms working together with pride, trust, and a deep connection to their land. It is a reminder that coffee begins with soil, family, patience, and collective effort, and that when women lead together, a harvest can become something much bigger than coffee.
